Oncology Frontier: What is the role of the multidisciplinary approach to the management of pancreatic cancer?

　　Dr Tempero: It starts from the very first time a patient is diagnosed， because you want to have appropriate imaging that clearly defines the extent of disease in the pancreas. That involves a radiologist. You need the surgeon to tell you whether or not that patient has disease that can be resected. You need medical oncologists and radiation oncologists to carry out the required treatments. And of course pathology is very important because you want to make a proper diagnosis.
